Wolf Creek Golf Resort (The Old Course) has been chosen to host our 2026 Away Tournament.
Wolf Creek Golf Resort is a 36-hole public facility in Ponoka, Alberta, renowned for its authentic Scottish-inspired “links” design. Originally designed by Rod Whitman, the resort was acquired by GolfNorth in 2023 following a brief period in receivership, leading to significant ongoing renovations to the courses and clubhouse.
The Golf Courses
The resort features two distinct 18-hole championship courses built on a natural sand belt, which allows for pristine drainage and firm playing conditions.
- The Old Course:
- Opened in 1984, this course is famous for its rugged terrain, deep pot bunkers, and large, undulating greens.
- It is a par 70 layout measuring approximately 6,624 yards.
- The Links Course:
- A newer addition that offers an “inland links” experience.
- It is longer and more open than the Old Course, featuring massive sandy waste areas and rolling contours.
- It is a par 71 measuring 7,155 yards.
Resort Amenities
- Clubhouse: Recently renovated to include a rooftop patio, an expanded deck at Barney’s Lounge, and a fully updated pro shop.
- Dining: A full-service restaurant and snack bar are on-site, serving casual meals and local craft beers.
- Practice Facilities: Includes a driving range and putting greens for warm-ups.
Location: 14 km (9 mi) south of Ponoka, just off Highway 2 (QEII).
We have a limited number of spots available so watch for the email notification and please sign-up early.
The final cost per person is still to be determined.
